What is Senior Agenda RI

The Senior Agenda Coalition is an independent and diverse coalition of agency and individual members. Our mission is to mobilize people to implement an agenda that improves the quality of life of older Rhode Islanders and adults with disabilities. We accomplish this through four pillars of our organization:

Public Education

Information is valuable to the aging adult. We provide seminars, social media post, and community activities to increase awareness of critical concerns aging adult people deal with. We keep aging adults and caregivers updated, whether it relates to changes in Medicaid eligibility, information about RI aging adult housing, or specifics on nutritional assistance (SNAPP).

By creating a coalition of members and partners, we have the ability to not only provide valuable resources for older adults, but also create a strong, united voice.

Policies on financial security, healthcare, and retirement are set by decisions taken at the national and state levels. We provide Rhode Islanders tools that enable people to communicate their thoughts and ideas. We strongly advise our community to react should locals experience the consequences of Social Security and Medicare cuts. We counsel our aging adults to individually meet legislators while the RI General Assembly addresses relative issues.

We highlight what we are supporting on national, state and local issues
