Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos and SACRI (Senior Agenda Coalition of RI), invite you to join us for the State of Rhode Island’s Older Americans Month 2026 celebration on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the historic State Room at the Rhode Island State House.
This year’s theme, “Rhode Island Lighting the Way in Aging Policy,” highlights our state’s leadership in advancing vibrant, age friendly communities and recognizes the pioneering legacy of Congressman John E. Fogarty, a national leader for public health and aging policy.
The program will feature welcoming remarks, a proclamation reading, reflections on Congressman Fogarty’s enduring influence, and “Stories of Impact” from community voices whose work strengthens aging equity and care across Rhode Island.
A lite luncheon and State House tours will be available after the ceremony.
